ERS is the world’s largest congress gathering clinicians specializing in respiratory medicine.
As an ally in better sleep and breathing, Philips showcases innovation to help improve Patient’s quality of life. Visit Philips at booth #B1_M02 at the 2014 European Respiratory Society Annual Congress.
Complex respiratory events such as leaks, patient-ventilator asynchrony and increases in upper airway resistance may occur during sleep in patients on non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapy. This workshop will help to learn how to recognize these events and better understand the importance of their negative impact both on sleep and therapy efficacy. It will also help the clinician to know which simple tools can be used to interpret these complex events.

The complicated sleep disordered breathing patient may require more than CPAP to treat their condition. This practical workshop will uncover the most effective treatment of servoventilation for the patient who presents with a pattern disorder, such as Cheyne-Stokes Respirations.
